Lawn and garden sampling is very beneficial for determining the specific needs of your soil to enhance your plants' growth. We test for the nutrients that are basic and necessary for most home growing endeavors: nitrate, ammonium, sulfur, pH, soluble salts, potassium and phosphorous. The $31.50 price also includes an evaluation and fertilizer recommendation.
The procedure for sampling is quite simple. All you need to do is take samples from four to five sites around the area to be evaluated, taking small amounts from each site down to 12" below the surface. Mix these in a soil bag that can be obtained from us or a sandwich-sized plastic zipper bag. Then send it to us with your name, address, plant in the area sampled, and a brief description of any problems and last fertilizer application.
To get your sample to us, you don't need to use expensive shipping methods. Regular mail or UPS shipping is sufficient, because as long as it is sealed properly, your soil will not be harmed or changed.
